Gonzalo Higuain would thrive in the Chelsea FC team under Maurizio Sarri, according to Brian McBride.

The Blues are in the market to sign a new striker in the summer transfer window to bolster their attack.

Chelsea FC finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season to miss out on a Champions League spot.

Alvaro Morata struggled to find consistency following his club record move to Chelsea FC from Real Madrid.

Higuain produced season best figures of 36 goals in 35 games under the new Blues boss Sarri at Napoli.

Former Fulham striker McBridge believes Chelsea FC should sign Higuain to improve their options ahead of the new season.

“I do like it. The question is can you keep Hazard. Higuain would enjoy it,” McBridge told ESPN FC.

“He would be the main focal point of Chelsea FC’s attack. Everywhere he has gone where he has been the main focal point he has scored goals.”

Chelsea FC finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season to miss out on a spot in the Champions League.

The Blues snapped up Higuain’s former team-mate Jorginho in a £57m deal from Napoli earlier this summer.
