Sky Sports News reporter warns Chelsea FC about signing Ligue 1 star
Sky Sports News reporter David Garrido suggests Chelsea FC could miss out on Nice star Jean Michael Seri
Chelsea FC could miss out on the signing of Jean Michael Seri due to the uncertainty at Stamford Bridge, David Garrido has claimed.
The Ivory Coast international came close to a move to La Liga side FC Barcelona last summer but a deal failed to materialise.
Seri knuckled down at the Ligue 1 side and he scored two goals and made five assists in 31 appearances in the French top flight.
The 26-year-old is attracting interest from the Premier League amid talk of Arsenal and Chelsea FC making a swoop for Seri.
Serie A giants Napoli are thought to be favourites to sign the versatile midfielder to bolster their midfield options ahead of the new campaign.
Sky Sports News reporter Garrido believes Seri could opt to move to Napoli ahead of Chelsea FC due to the volatile situation at Stamford Bridge.
“Seri is a target for Chelsea this summer,” Garrido told the Transfer Talk podcast.
“Might they miss out because of all the madness going on at Stamford Bridge.”
Chelsea FC finished in fifth spot in the Premier League table last season to miss out on a Champions League spot.
The Blues were 1-0 winners against Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley last month.
