Chelsea FC are hoping that Maurizio Sarri’s appointment can persuade Thibaut Courtois, Eden Hazard and Willian to remain at Stamford Bridge, according to a report in England.
The Sun is reporting that the Chelsea FC board are confident that Sarri’s appointment can bring stability to the Blues dressing room following a difficult 2017-18 season.
The same article states that some of the west London side’s senior players have grown disillusioned under Antonio Conte’s abrasive style of management at Stamford Bridge.
According to the same story, Sarri is set to take over the reins from Conte in the coming days following protracted negotiations between Chelsea FC and Napoli.
Chelsea FC haven’t signed any new players in the summer transfer window despite the Blues finishing in fifth place in the Premier League table last season.
The Blues missed out on a place in the Champions League despite starting the 2017-18 season as Premier League title holders following Conte’s successful debut campaign in England.
Chelsea FC managed to end the season with silverware after the Blues eased to a 1-0 win over Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley back in May.
The west London side have finished outside the top four spots in the two of the past Premier League seasons.
