The Daily Mail, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Chelsea FC owner has travelled to Italy alongside Fali Ramadani in an attempt to thrash out a transfer deal.
The same article states that Chelsea FC have no issue coughing up a £53m fee to sign the Argentina international to improve their attacking options ahead of the new season.
According to the same story, the Blues are also looking to complete a deal to sign Italian defender Daniele Rugani from the Serie A champions but Juventus are reluctant to sell the 23-year-old.
However, Chelsea FC owner Abramovich is willing to cough up a staggering £89m to sign both Higuain and Rugani before the start of the new Premier League season.
The Blues finished in fifth spot in the Premier League table last season to miss out on a spot in the Champions League and culminate in Antonio Conte’s dismissal.
