Journalist reveals how much Chelsea FC will demand for Willian
Sky Sports News reporter Keith Downie claims Chelsea FC will demand £50m to sell Man United target Willian
Chelsea FC are looking to secure a transfer fee in the excess of £50m for Willian, according to reporter Keith Downie.
The Brazil international is facing an uncertain future at the west London side after he struggled to hold down a regular start spot under Antonio Conte.
Willian hit out at his manager on social media after he was left on the bench before a late appearance in their 1-0 win against Manchester United in the FA Cup final.
La Liga champions FC Barcelona and Premier League rivals Manchester United have both been linked with a potential swoop to sign the 29-year-old in the current transfer window.
Indeed, the Spanish giants are reported to have submitted a bid thought to be worth in the region of £50m for the former Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder.
Willian worked with Mourinho during his second stint in charge of Chelsea FC before the Portuguese head coach was sacked in December 2015.
Sky Sports News reporter Downie claimed that Chelsea FC will demand more than £50m to sell Willian in the summer transfer window.
“Talks have taken place,” Downie told the Transfer Talk podcast. “A £50m was made. It has been rejected.
“Chelsea want more than that. You wouldn’t be surprised to see that go through.”
Chelsea FC finished in fifth spot in the Premier League table last season to miss out on a Champions League spot last term.
The Blues forward has won the Premier League title twice under Mourinho and his permanent successor Antonio Conte.
