The Sun is reporting that the Red Devils are still keeping tabs on Willian’s situation at Stamford Bridge in the current transfer window.
The same article states that Manchester United are hoping the lure of Champions League football can bolster their chances of signing Willian.
According to the same story, the Red Devils will face competition from La Liga champions FC Barcelona as Ernesto Valverde looks to improve his options on the wing.
Manchester United have been linked with a potential deal to sign the Brazil international in the 2018 summer transfer window.
Willian was used sparingly towards the end of the season under Blues manager Antonio Conte to fuel speculation surrounding his future.
The South American forward hit out at Conte on Instagram following his omission from the Chelsea FC starting line up in the FA Cup final.
However, Chelsea FC have since appointed former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri as Conte’s permanent replacement at the west London side.
Mourinho has been linked with a move to sign Willian since the Portuguese head coach took over the reins in May 2016.
