Eden Hazard drops major hint about his Chelsea FC future
Eden Hazard drops a big hint that his future could lie away from Chelsea FC
Eden Hazard has dropped his biggest hint yet that he could be set to leave Chelsea FC this summer.
The 27-year-old’s future has been a relentless source of speculation over the last few months after Chelsea FC missed out on qualification for next season’s Champions League following their fifth-placed finish last term.
Hazard has long been touted as a potential transfer target for Real Madrid and that speculation has heightened once again this summer after the Blues finished fifth in the Premier League.
The playmaker helped to fire Belgium to a 2-0 victory over England in the third place play-off at this summer’s World Cup in Russia on Saturday.
And speaking to the Belgian media after the game, Hazard appeared to openly suggest that he would be keen on a move to Real Madrid this summer from Chelsea FC.
Speaking to Belgian outlet HLN, Hazard said: “After six wonderful years at Chelsea it might be time to discover something different.
“Certainly after this World Cup. I can decide if I want to stay or go, but Chelsea will make the final decision – if they want to let me go. You know my preferred destination.”
Hazard has won two Premier League titles, the Europa League, the FA Cup and League Cup since his move to Chelsea FC from Lille back in 2012.
The playmaker was also voted as the PFA player of the year in 2015 after helping to fire Chelsea FC to a Premier League and League Cup double under Jose Mourinho.
