FC Barcelona make £53m bid to sign Chelsea FC star – report
FC Barcelona have made a fresh bid to try and sign Willian from Chelsea FC, say reports
FC Barcelona have made a second bid of £53m to sign Willian from Chelsea FC this summer, according to reports in the British media.
Sky Sports is reporting that the Spanish side have returned with a fresh offer to sign the Brazilian attacker this summer after they failed with a bid believed to be worth around £50m earlier this month.
The same report says that FC Barcelona first ignited their interest in signing Willian this summer around three months ago and they are determined to try and bring him to Camp Nou.
The 29-year-old’s future at Stamford Bridge has been something of a source of speculation this summer after he failed to hold down a regular starting spot under Antonio Conte at Chelsea FC last season.
The same article also reports that Manchester United retain an interest in signing the Brazil international as they look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of next season.
Chelsea FC could be set to ring the changes in the summer transfer window as they look to reassemble their squad ahead of next season.
The Blues ended up in fifth place in the Premier League table last term and won the FA Cup in Conte’s second campaign in charge at the club.
