Journalist gives latest Man United transfer update on Paul Pogba
Manchester United won't sell Paul Pogba this summer, according to football expert Ian McGarry
Paul Pogba is likely to remain at Manchester United despite speculation surrounding his future, Ian McGarry has claimed.
The France international returned to the Red Devils in an £89m deal from Serie A champions Juventus in the 2016 summer transfer window.
Pogba was one of the most exciting players to watch in Serie A after blossoming into a world-class player at the Turin side.
The 25-year-old, though, has struggled to recapture his Juventus form in the Manchester United side under Jose Mourinho.
Pogba scored two goals and made two assist in his opening four Premier League appearances in the 2017-18 season.
However, his encouraging start was cut short after Pogba suffered a serious knee problem to keep him sidelined for three months.
Pogba was criticised by his manager Mourinho for his reckless performances in the middle of the park alongside Nemanja Matic.
Journalist McGarry believes it is unlikely Pogba will leave Manchester United in the current transfer window.
“I still think Pogba will more than likely remain,” McGarry told the Transfer Window podcast.
“To receive a better contract somewhere would be very difficult apart from PSG.”
Pogba has won the Europa League and the League Cup since his return to Manchester United in a club record deal 24 months ago.
