The midfielder has been a regular fixture in the Three Lions squad this summer in Russia as he helped Gareth Southgate’s men to reach their first semi-final at a World Cup since 1990.
Henderson has been growing in stature over the last few seasons and has been attracting plenty of praise for his performances for both club and country.
The former Sunderland star was taken off towards the end of England’s 2-0 win over Sweden over the weekend due to a tight hamstring.
However, the midfielder has now revealed that he is hoping to be fit for England’s semi-final showdown with Croatia on Wednesday night.
Henderson is quoted as saying by Liverpool FC’s website: “I was just a little bit tight before the game, so towards the last 20 minutes I just overstretched and I felt it a little bit.
“But it doesn’t feel too bad, so hopefully it’ll be fine.”
Meanwhile, Liverpool FC are still believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they prepare for the new season.
The Reds have so far brought in Brazilian midfielder Fabinho from Monaco as Jurgen Klopp looks to assemble a squad capable of winning the Premier League title next season.
The Merseyside outfit finished in fourth place last term.
