The Brazilian midfielder has been settling into life at Anfield after having signed for the Reds from Monaco at the start of the summer transfer window.
Fabinho will be hoping to help the Reds to challenge for the Premier League title next season as they look to try and win their first trophy under Klopp.
The Brazilian started Liverpool FC’s 7-0 thrashing of Chester on Saturday in their pre-season friendly game.
And although Klopp admits that it will take a little bit of time for Fabinho to get totally used to the style of play at Anfield, he says he has been thrilled by the start that he made.
Klopp is quoted as saying by the Liverpool Echo: “Monaco played a completely different style, so Fabinho probably needs a few more days. That’s how it is.
“But he’s a fantastic football player, a good passer, his challenges are good, a proper defensive midfielder with the option of being a No 8 as well, his heading is good.
“So if you want to be a part of our squad then you need to be good and these two boys [Keita and Fabinho] are.”
Liverpool FC will likely be linked with a number of other players this summer as they look to build a squad capable of winning the title next season.
The Reds have so far only brought in Fabinho and Naby Keita, in a deal that was agreed with RB Leipzig last summer.
Liverpool FC are still aiming to win their first trophy under Klopp since his appointment back in 2015.
