Daniel Sturridge reveals how he’s helped new Liverpool FC signing
The Liverpool FC striker has been helping Naby Keita to settle at Anfield
Daniel Sturridge has revealed how he has been helping Naby Keita to settle at Liverpool FC following his move from RB Leipzig.
The Reds completed a £48m swoop to sign Keita from the Bundesliga outfit earlier this month after Liverpool FC agreed a fee for the dynamic midfielder last summer.
Keita has been tasked with filling the void left by Emre Can after the Germany international completed a free transfer to Serie A champions Juventus.
The African star has the added pressure of taking on Liverpool FC’s prestigous number eight shirt previously worn by Reds legend Steven Gerrard before his exit in 2015.
Liverpool FC striker Sturridge has shed light on how he has been helping 23-year-old Keita to settle at the 18-time English champions ahead of the new Premier League season.
“I’m sat next to Keita in the changing room so we share a lot of jokes together,” Sturridge is quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror.
“Fabinho is a really good guy too. Both are settling in very well and really good additions to the squad.”
The Reds have also signed Brazil international Fabinho in a £39m deal from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco to improve Jurgen Klopp’s options in the middle of the park.
Liverpool FC have also snapped up Switzerland international Xherdan Shaqiri in a £13.5m deal from relegated Stoke City to add more firepower to their attack.
The Reds lost 3-1 to La Liga giants Real Madrid in the Champions League final last term.
