The Reds have been strongly linked with a number of shot-stoppers this summer as Jurgen Klopp looks to bolster his options between the posts ahead of next season.
The Merseyside outfit are thought to be on the lookout for a new goalkeeper this summer after Loris Karius’ Champions League nightmare last term.
Klopp launched a passionate defence of Karius last week as he suggested that he would be willing to stick with the goalkeeper as his number one next term.
Now, Daily Mirror reporter Maddock has claimed that Liverpool FC are still on the lookout for a new goalkeeper, but they will not be panicked into making any deals.
Journalist Maddock wrote on Twitter: “Klopp still wants keeper, but will not panic in transfer market, is prepared to back Karius and take criticism to give him breathing space to wait for his first choice – as he did last summer with van Dijk #LFC.”
Meanwhile, Liverpool FC have so far only completed one signing this summer after having tied up a deal to bring Brazilian midfielder Fabinho to Anfield from Monaco.
The Reds have also welcomed Naby Keita to Melwood after his transfer from RB Leipzig went through following the deal being struck last summer.
