Liverpool FC to hold talks about signing Croatia star this week – report
Liverpool FC will hold talks with Besiktas about signing Croatia star Domagoj Vida this summer, say reports
Liverpool FC are set to hold talks with Besiktas about a deal to sign Croatia star Domagoj Vida, according to reports in the Turkish media.
Turkish outlet Milliyet, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that the Reds are keen on a move to bring the defender to Anfield this summer as Jurgen Klopp looks to bolster his options at the back ahead of next season.
The same report says that both West Ham United and Everton are also interested in signing Vida this summer as his future remains a source of uncertainty.
Vida was in fine form for Croatia at this summer’s World Cup in Russia as he helped them to finish as runners up behind champions France.
According to the same story, Besiktas president Fikret Orman would be ready to sanction a deal for a fee of £26.8m for the sale of Vida.
Liverpool FC made a defensive signing last week when they tied up a deal to bring goalkeeper Alisson to Anfield from AS Roma.
The Reds will be looking to challenge for the Premier League title next season after they finished in fourth place in the table and without a trophy last term.
