Liverpool FC have entered the race to sign Harry Maguire from Leicester City this summer, according to transfer insider Indykaila.

Maguire’s situation at Leicester City has become a source of speculation in recent weeks after his fine performances for England at this summer’s World Cup in Russia.

Indeed, there have been reports that Manchester United are lining up a £50m bid to try and bring the 25-year-old to Old Trafford as they look to try and strengthen their options ahead of next season.

Now, however, infamous Twitter transfer insider Indykaila has claimed that Liverpool FC are now in the running to try and bring the defender to Anfield.

Indykaila wrote on Twitter: “Liverpool just entered the race to sign @HarryMaguire93. #LFC.”

Liverpool FC are believed to still be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer after having brought in Naby Keita, Fabinho and Xherdan Shaqiri so far.

Jurgen Klopp is looking to assemble a squad capable of winning the Premier League title next season as the German manager looks to steer the Reds to their first trophy since his appointment back in 2015.

Liverpool FC ended last season without a trophy as they finished in fourth place and were beaten by Real Madrid in the Champions League final back in May.
