Jurgen Klopp wants to make this key Liverpool FC signing
Jurgen Klopp is keen to sign a new goalkeeper this summer for Liverpool FC, say reports
Jurgen Klopp is still keen to sign a new goalkeeper for Liverpool FC this summer but won’t be held to ransom over the price, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that the Reds are still on the lookout for a new shot-stopper this summer after Loris Karius’ nightmare in the Champions League final.
Liverpool FC have been linked with a host of goalkeepers this summer, including AS Roma star Alisson Becker and Atletico Madrid stopper Jan Oblak.
However, the Reds have not yet concluded any new deals for a goalkeeper as they begin their preparations for the new campaign.
Klopp launched a passionate defence of Karius last week after it emerged that the goalkeeper was suffering from concussion during the Champions League final.
That has prompted rumours that the Liverpool FC boss could be happy to stick with Karius for next season.
However, the same story suggests that Klopp is still on the lookout for a new goalkeeper as long as a deal can be done for a reasonable price.
Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table and without a trophy last term.
