Jurgen Klopp sends message to Liverpool FC transfer targets
Jurgen Klopp talks up Mohamed Salah's decision to commit his future to Liverpool FC by signing a new deal
Jurgen Klopp believes that Mohamed Salah’s decision to commit his long-term future to Liverpool FC speaks volumes about the direction that the Anfield club is heading in.
The Egypt international signed a new long-term deal with the Reds on Monday as he committed himself to the Merseyside club following his sparkling debut campaign on Merseyside.
Salah was one of European football’s top performing players last season after his switch from AS Roma last summer, as he netted more than 40 goals in all competitions for the Reds.
The news of Salah committing his future to the club will come as a big boost to the Reds, with the 25-year-old having been linked with a move away from Anfield following his sparkling form.
And Reds boss Klopp feels that Salah’s decision to commit to the Reds shows to potential transfer targets that the Merseyside outfit are moving in the right direction.
Speaking in an interview with Liverpool FC’s website, Klopp said: “When someone like Mo Salah commits and says this place is my home now, it speaks very loudly I think.
“Equally, our commitment to him says we see his value and want him to grow even more and get even better within our environment.”
Liverpool FC are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they bid to build a squad capable of winning the Premier League next term.
So far, the Reds have only completed a deal to bring Brazilian midfielder Fabinho to Anfield from Monaco.
