Igor Biscan makes prediction about Mo Salah at Liverpool FC
Mo Salah will struggle to replicate his fine Liverpool FC form next season, says Igor Biscan
Igor Biscan has warned Liverpool FC fans that Mohamed Salah is unlikely to be able to replicate his form from last season next term.
Salah ended up being one of European football’s top performing players last season following his move to the Anfield club from AS Roma last summer.
The 25-year-old netted 44 goals in all competitions to help Liverpool FC seal a top-four finish in the Premier League and reach the Champions League final, where they were beaten 3-1 by Real Madrid.
Salah’s performances did not go unnoticed, as the attacker was voted as the PFA player of the year by his peers.
However, former Liverpool FC star Biscan feels that Salah is unlikely to be able to perform at the same high level for the whole of next season.
Speaking in an interview with Betstars, Biscan said: “It will be really difficult for Mo Salah to repeat that level of success.
“Only Messi and Ronaldo have done that year on year. Even if he doesn’t match last year’s performances, if he just does 80 per cent of what he did last year, it will still be an unbelievable achievement.
“If Liverpool are going to compete for trophies, they are going to need someone who hits that kind of form.
“The teams that have those players who can change a game are the ones that win the Champions League.”
Liverpool FC will be aiming to challenge for the Premier League title next season after they finished in fourth place last term.
The Merseyside outfit are still looking to win their first trophy under Jurgen Klopp following his appointment at Anfield back in October 2015.
Salah will be reporting back to Melwood to begin pre-season training in the next few weeks after his involvement in the World Cup with Egypt.
