Southampton want to sign £20m-rated Liverpool FC forward – report
Southampton want to sign Danny Ings from Liverpool FC this summer, according to reports
Southampton want to sign Danny Ings from Liverpool FC this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Sun, as quoted by the Daily Mail, is reporting that the Saints are keen on a deal to bring the striker to St Mary’s from Anfield as they look to bolster their attacking options ahead of next season.
The same report says that Liverpool FC are looking to offload Ings for a fee of around £20m this summer following his lack of playing time at Anfield under Jurgen Klopp.
However, it is claimed that Southampton are willing to pay around half of that asking price, with additions based on appearances.
According to the same report, Southampton are not the only club considering a swoop for Ings this summer, as Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace are also said to be keen on landing the 25-year-old.
Klopp is looking to revamp his Liverpool FC squad this summer as he looks to build a team capable of winning the title next season.
The Reds have already brought in Fabinho, Naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri this summer as Klopp looks to steer his side to a Premier League title challenge next term.
