Nabil Fekir would be a great signing for Liverpool FC this summer, according to Steve Nicol.

The Reds have been heavily linked with a bid to try and bring the 25-year-old attacking midfielder to Anfield this summer but a move has not yet materialised.

Liverpool FC were thought to be on the verge of concluding a deal to land Fekir back in June but the transfer fell through and the midfielder remains as a Lyon player.

However, despite this, the Reds continue to be linked with a move to bring the attacking midfielder to Anfield before the transfer window closes next month.

And Nicol feels that Fekir would be a great addition to the Liverpool FC team if they are able to get the deal done.

Speaking in an interview with ESPN FC, Fekir said: “I like Fekir. He is young. He can score goals. He is a talent. He is exciting. He fits in.”

Liverpool FC have been busy in the summer transfer window this summer, with the Reds having signed Naby Keita, Fabinho, Xherdan Shaqiri and Alisson Becker so far.

The Reds are thought to be on the lookout for a number of other players as Jurgen Klopp looks to try and steer Liverpool FC to their first major trophy under the German manager.
