Liverpool FC are still keen on a deal to sign Xherdan Shaqiri from Stoke City this summer as one of two potential new recruits at Anfield, according to reports in the British media.

The Liverpool Echo, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that the Stoke City attacker is one of two players that Jurgen Klopp is still keen on adding to his squad this summer.

The same story says that the other player that Klopp wants to sign this summer is Gent star Moses Simon.

Liverpool FC have been linked with a host of players this summer, but they have so far only concluded a deal to bring Brazilian midfielder Fabinho to Anfield.

Switzerland international Shaqiri was strongly linked with a move to Anfield last month but any official news of a deal has not been confirmed.

Liverpool FC are likely to be on the lookout for a number of further signings this summer as Klopp looks to assemble a team capable of winning the Premier League title next season.

The Reds finished in fourth place in the table last term and without a trophy after they ended up being beaten by Real Madrid in the Champions League final back in May.
