Journalist gives Liverpool FC transfer update on Nabil Fekir
Sky Sports News reporter Dharmesh Sheth claims Liverpool FC have a decision to make about Lyon captain Nabil Fekir
Liverpool FC have a decision to make over Nabil Fekir, with Lyon intimating that they would be prepared to do a deal, Dharmesh Sheth has claimed.
The France international has been regularly linked with a move to Liverpool FC since the conclusion of the Premier League campaign last month.
Fekir was thought to be close on a £57m move to Liverpool FC from Lyon earlier this month as the Reds looked to improve their attacking options.
However, the France international’s deal fell through after concerns emerged about the 24-year-old’s long-standing injury problem.
Fekir was even reported to have selected his number at the Anfield outfit before the proposed transfer collapse
Although the France playmaker’s move is off for now, Liverpool FC continue to be linked with a swoop to sign the Lyon capital after the World Cup.
Sky Sports News reporter Sheth believes Lyon president Jean Michael Aulas has put talks back in Liverpool FC’s court.
“The nosies from France suggest this could be back on,” Sheth told the Transfer Talk podcast.
“It seems like an invitation from Lyon to Liverpool to come back in for Fekir. The ball seems to be back in Liverpool’s court. “
Liverpool FC have signed Brazil international Fabinho in a £39m deal from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco in the current transfer window.
The Reds have also signed Guinea international Naby Keita in a £48m switch from RB Leipzig after the two clubs agreed a deal last summer.
Liverpool FC snapped up Swiss star Xherdan Shaqiri in a £13.5m deal from Stoke City before the Merseyside outfit spend a world record fee on Alisson Becker.
