Liverpool FC submit £58m bid to sign Serie A star – report
Liverpool FC are set to hand Alisson Becker a five-year contract worth around £100,000 a week, according to a report in Italy
Liverpool FC have submitted a £58m bid to sign AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker, according to a report in Italy.
Italian media outlet Gazetto dello Sport, as quoted by The Sun, is reporting that the Reds could agree to a five-year deal with the Brazil international in the next 24 hours.
The same article states that the Reds are willing to hand the Brazil number one a contract worth an estimated £100,000 a week to move to the Anfield outfit.
According to the same story, Alisson would prefer to move to Real Madrid but los Blancos have cooled their interest in the AS Roma shot stopper.
The Reds are thought to be in the market to sign a new goalkeeper in the current transfer window following the Champions League final.
Liverpool FC number one Loris Karius made two big mistakes in a 3-1 loss to Real Madrid in the European Cup showpiece.
The Merseyside outfit have struggled to sign a world-class goalkeeper since Brendan Rodgers allowed Pepe Reina to leave in 2013.
Liverpool FC supporters are desperate to see a new goalkeeper arrive at Anfield this summer following Karius’ disastrous performance in the Champions League final.
The German goalkeeper made yet another mistake in Liverpool FC’s 3-2 win over Tranmere Rovers in a pre-season friendly earlier this week to send some Reds fans into meltdown on social media.
