Serie A expert reveals new Liverpool FC signing modelled game on Bayern star
Liverpool FC signing Alisson Becker has modelled his game on Bayern Munich star Manuel Neuer, according to Paolo Baldini
Alisson Becker has modelled his game on Bayern Munich shot stopper Manuel Neuer, according to reporter Paolo Baldini.
The Reds completed a £66m deal to sign the Brazil international from Serie A giants AS Roma last week.
Liverpool FC were linked with a move to sign Alisson throughout 2018 so far given the poor form of Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet.
The Merseyside outfit have struggle with goalkeepers since Brendan Rodgers allowed Pepe Reina to leave in 2013.
Alisson has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the world during his two season spell at AS Roma.
The South American was the top performing goalkeeper in the Italian top flight last term ahead of Gianluigi Buffon and Reina.
Serie A expert Baldini shed light on Alisson’s style of play following his anticipated move to Liverpool FC.
“He is an adventurous goalkeeper,” Baldini told ESPN FC. “He says he models himself on Manuel Neuer. He is a sweeper keeper.”
Liverpool FC finished in fourth spot in the Premier League table last term to secure a place in the Champions League.
The Reds have signed AS Monaco midfielder Fabinho, Stoke City goalkeeper Xherdan Shaqiri and RB Leipzig star Naby Keita.
