The Reds have been heavily linked with a move to sign the Brazil international from Serie A giants AS Roma in the summer transfer window.
Liverpool FC are in the market to sign a new shot stopper following Loris Karius’ poor performance in the Champions League final.
The former Germany Under-21 international made two big mistakes in Liverpool FC’s 3-1 loss to La Liga giants Real Madrid.
However, los Blancos have also been linked with a swoop to sign Alisson to replace Keylor Navas under Julen Lopetegui.
Sky Sports News reporter Sheth claimed that Liverpool FC’s interest in Alisson has gone quiet to suggest a move won’t happen this summer.
“Liverpool were interested in Alisson. That one has gone a bit quiet,” Sheth told the Transfer Talk podcast.
“If Alisson goes to Real Madrid, could Courtois go to Liverpool. I can’t see Chelsea selling to a rival.”
Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season to ensure their continued particpation in the Champions League.
The Reds have already signed Fabinho and Naby Keita to bolster Jurgen Klopp’s team in the summer transfer window.
