Klopp told Liverpool FC should spend £75m on Brazil international
Former West Ham goalkeeper Shaka Hislop believes Liverpool FC target Alisson Becker is worth £75m
Alisson Becker is worth AS Roma’s £75m asking price, Shaka Hislop has informed Liverpool FC.
The Reds are in the market to sign a new goalkeeper this summer following Loris Karius’ disastrous performance in the Champions League final.
The German goalkeeper’s poor pass allowed Karim Benzema to break the deadlock for Real Madrid before Sadio Mane equalised.
Gareth Bale scored an incredible overhead goal to restore Real Madrid’s lead before Karius deflected Bale’s long-range effort into his own net.
Brazil number one Alisson has established himself as one of the top goalkeepers in Serie A following two seasons at AS Roma.
AS Roma are thought to be demanding £75m for Alisson, which is the same transfer fee that Liverpool FC paid for Virgil van Dijk.
Former West Ham goalkeeper Hislop believes Liverpool FC should cough up the funds to sign Alisson.
“He is worth it to Liverpool,” Hislop told ESPN FC.
“If Liverpool are to continue to contend for European football and threaten the Manchester clubs one of the holes they have to plug is between the sticks.
“You spend 75m on a centre-half. As a defensive unit, they’re still incomplete.”
Liverpool FC haven’t won the Premier League title in their history but the Reds finished in second place in 2002, 2009 and 2014.
