Loris Karius has admitted that his future at Liverpool FC is in doubt.

The Reds goalkeeper established himself as Jurgen Klopp’s first-choice goalkeeper in the second half of the Premier League season.

Karius managed to make some improvements and found a level of consistency ahead of the Champions League final in Kiev.

The former Mainz 05 goalkeeper made two big mistakes in Liverpool FC’s 3-1 loss to Spanish giants Real Madrid in the European showpiece.

Liverpool FC were linked with a move to sign a new goalkeeper in the immediate aftermath of their Champions League final disappointment.

The Reds made Alisson the most expensive shot stopper in the world after Liverpool FC spent £67m on the Brazil and AS Roma number one.

Alisson’s arrival has cast doubt on Karius’ future at Liverpool FC ahead of the new Premier League season.

Karius revealed that Liverpool FC didn’t inform the German that Alisson was set to arrive at the Merseyside outfit this summer.

“Of course that’s not perfect for me, but I cannot say much more about that either,” Karius told the British media in United States.

“I do not know that, I cannot say what I’m doing right now, there’s still some time left [in the transfer window].”

Jurgen Klopp signed Karius in a £4.7m deal from the German coach’s former club Mainz 05 in the 2016 summer transfer window.

The Reds finished in fourth place in the Premier League last term to ensure their continued participation in the Champions League.
