Liverpool FC ready to rival Arsenal for 25-year-old Brazilian – report
Liverpool FC are ready to battle it out with Arsenal and Everton to sign free agent Bernard, according to a report
Liverpool FC have entered the race to Shakhtar Donetsk star Bernard but the Reds will face competition from Arsenal and Everton, according to a report Italy.
Italian broadcaster Premium Sport, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is reporting that the Champions League runners up have shown an interest in the Brazil international.
The same article states that Liverpool FC will face competition from their Premier League rivals Arsenal and Everton if the Reds want to get a deal over the line for Bernard.
According to the same story, the Brazil international has turned down the chance to move to Serie A in favour of a switch to the Premier League this summer.
Bernard is a free agent after his contract with Ukrainian Premier League champions Shakhtar Donetsk came to an end earlier this summer.
Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League last season to ensure their continued participation in the Champions League under Jurgen Klopp.
The Reds lost 3-1 to La Liga giants Real Madrid in the Champions League final last term to miss out on their first trophy under the German head coach.
The Merseyside outfit have signed Fabinho, Naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri in the summer transfer window so far.
