Liverpool ‘increase offer to £20m’ for World Cup star – report
Liverpool FC have upped their offer to £20m to sign Croatia and Besiktas star Domagoj Vida, according to a report in Turkey

Liverpool FC have upped their bid to £20m to sign Croatia star Domagoj Vida from Turkish side Besiktas, according to a report in Turkey.
The Daily Mirror is quoting unnamed reports in Turkey that suggest Liverpool FC stepped up their attempt to sign the 29-year-old in the summer transfer window.
The same article states that the Reds are still a long way short of Besiktas’ valuation of £30m after Vida helped Croatia to reach the World Cup final in Russia.
According to the same story, Vida is attracting interest from Liverpool FC’s Premier League rivals Everton and West Ham United in the summer transfer window.
The Daily Mirror adds that La Liga duo Atletico Madrid and Sevilla are also monitoring the Croatian’s situation at Besiktas ahead of a potential summer swoop.
Vida has forged an impressive partnership with Liverpool FC centre-half Dejan Lovren to help Croatia reach the World Cup final.
Indeed, the Besikitas defender impressed in Croatia’s 2-1 extra-time win over England in the World Cup last four.
Croatia lost 4-2 to France in the World Cup final to miss out on a first world title.
Liverpool FC have signed Brazilian midfielder Fabinho, RB Leipzig star Naby Keita and Stoke attacker Xherdan Shaqiri in the summer transfer window so far.
