Liverpool FC have made a second offer to sign Besiktas and Croatia defender Domagoj Vida, according to a report in Turkey
Liverpool FC have submitted a £17.5m offer for Besiktas and Croatia defender Domagoj Vida, according to a report in Turkey.
Turkish website Fanatik, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is reporting that the Reds have cemented their interest in Vida with a significant bid for the Croatian defender.
The same article states that Besiktas have already rejected a £15.9m bid for the Croatia international in the current transfer window.
According to the same story, the Turkish side are hoping to secure a transfer fee in the region of £30m for the World Cup finalist.
The Super Lig signed Vida from Ukrainian side Dynamo Kyiv in the January transfer window.
Liverpool FC are in the market to add more depth at the back after Jurgen Klopp saw his squad stretched during their run to the Champions League last season.
Vida has forged an impressive partnership with Liverpool FC defender Dejan Lovren to help Croatia beat Denmark, Russia and England in the knockout stage to reach the World Cup final.
The 29-year-old will be hoping that he can continue to shine alongside Lovren when Croatia take on France in the World Cup showpiece on Sunday night.
