Liverpool FC have no interest in signing Jack Grealish from Aston Villa this summer, according to reports
Liverpool FC have no interest in signing Jack Grealish from Aston Villa this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Liverpool Echo is reporting that despite media speculation to the contrary, the Reds are not looking to bring in the 22-year-old midfielder this summer.
According to the same story, the Merseyside outfit have found the reports linking them with a move for the midfielder “baffling”.
The article says that Liverpool FC are targeting a “higher calibre” of player than Grealish as they look to bolster their squad this summer.
The same article instead claims that Tottenham Hotspur are set to sign the midfielder for a transfer fee of around £15m this summer as the Lilywhites look to bolster their squad.
The same story says that Liverpool FC are still on the lookout for a new replacement for Philippe Coutinho after he left the Reds for FC Barcelona in the January transfer window.
Liverpool FC have so far only brought in Brazilian midfielder Fabinho as their first signing of the summer ahead of next season.
The Reds will be aiming to challenge for the title next season after they finished fourth last term under Jurgen Klopp.
