The Merseyside outfit had little options from the bench to replace Salah after the Egypt international dislocated his shoulder after a collision with Sergio Ramos.
Liverpool FC have funds to invest in new playing staff this summer after Philippe Coutinho moved to Spanish giants FC Barcelona in the 2018 January transfer window.
The 18-time English champions have been linked with a move to sign Lyon captain Nabil Fekir and Stoke City forward Xherdan Shaqiri.
Football consultant McGarry revealed that Klopp is eager to add more depth to his squad ahead of a potential title challenge next term.
“Liverpool don’t need to replace Mane, Salah and Firmino,” McGarry told the Transfer Window podcast.
“Klopp wants a player who can come in and deputise for those players. He would put pressure on those players because he is talented.”
Liverpool FC have signed Brazil international Fabinho in a £39m deal from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco in the summer transfer window.
Guinea international Naby Keita has also completed a switch to Liverpool FC from RB Leipzig in a £48m deal.
