Liverpool FC star to hold talks about his future after the World Cup – report
Simon Mignolet will seek assurances about his future at Liverpool FC, according to reports
Simon Mignolet will hold talks with Liverpool FC about his future after Belgium’s involvement in the World Cup is over, according to reports in the British media.
The Guardian is reporting that the goalkeeper is preparing to discuss his situation with the Merseyside outfit after he fell down in the pecking order behind Loris Karius last season.
The same report says that Liverpool FC are actively looking to bring in a new and established goalkeeper this summer but so far have been unsuccessful in doing so.
Their failure to land a new shot-stopper has, according to the same report, opened up the possibility of both Karius and Mignolet staying at Anfield for next season.
However, that means that Mignolet will seek assurances about his role at Anfield beyond the summer if he does indeed end up staying at the club.
Liverpool FC are believed to still be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as Jurgen Klopp looks to build a squad capable of challenging for the Premier League title next season.
The Reds have already confirmed the arrival of Brazilian midfielder Fabinho as their first official signing of the summer transfer window.
