Mohamed Salah sends fresh message to Liverpool FC fans after new long-term contract
The Liverpool FC star is optimistic that the Reds can achieve great success
Mohamed Salah is confident Liverpool FC can achieve a lot of success after the Egypt star signed a new long-term deal on Monday evening.
The Egypt international has committed to a new five-year contract that will see Salah remain at the Anfield outfit until 2023.
Salah is set to earn a reported £10m a year but his new deal doesn’t contain a contract release clause despite some reports in the media.
The 25-year-old scored 32 goals in the Premier League last season to help the Reds finish in the top four ahead of Arsenal and Chelsea FC.
Salah was named the PFA player of the year following his incredible performances throughout the campaign for Liverpool FC.
The Egypt international netted 10 times in the Champions League to help Liverpool FC reach the European showpiece in Kiev.
However, Salah suffered a dislocated shoulder in the first half of their 3-1 loss to La Liga giants Real Madrid.
But the World Cup star is excited about Liverpool FC’s potential after Salah committed to a new long-term deal at the Merseyside outfit.
“Hello to Liverpool fans, I’m very happy to say I have signed a new contract with the club,” Salah is quoted as saying by Liverpool FC’s website.
“My first year at the club was an incredible experience for me and my family. I have to thank everyone at Liverpool and also you, our supporters.
“I know we can achieve a lot of things together [and] I’m looking forward to seeing you. See you soon.”
Liverpool FC haven’t won the Premier League title and Salah will be hoping to help the Reds create some history in the English top flight next term.
