Journalist claims Liverpool FC could still sign 24-year-old France attacker
Liverpool FC could still end up signing Lyon forward Nabil Fekir, Sky Sports News reporter Dharmesh Sheth has claimed
Liverpool FC could still sign Lyon attacker Nabil Fekir in the summer transfer window, according to Dharmesh Sheth.
The Reds have been regularly linked with a move to sign the France international in the summer transfer window.
Fekir was thought to be very close to becoming a new Liverpool FC player last month following lengthy negotiations.
The 24-year-old completed a medical at Liverpool FC and Fekir even selected his shirt number at the Merseyside outfit.
The France attacker’s proposed move fell through due to concerns about a long-standing knee problem.
Fekir is currently competing at the World Cup as part of Didier Deschamps’ France squad at the major tournament in Russia.
Sky Sports News reporter Sheth believes Fekir could still end up moving to Liverpool FC in the summer transfer window.
“It is off at the moment but it doesn’t seem to me that it is dead and buried at all,” Sheth told the Transfer Talk podcast.
“The noises coming from France is there is a chance a deal could be revived.”
The Reds signed Brazil international Fabinho in a £40m deal from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco last month.
Guinea international Naby Keita has also linked up with the Liverpool FC team-mates following his £48m switch from RB Leipzig.
