France star informs Lyon about desire to move to Liverpool FC – report
Nabil Fekir has told Lyon that he still wants to move to Liverpool FC this summer, according to a report
Nabil Fekir has made it clear to Lyon that he has his heart set on a move to Liverpool FC this summer, according to a report in England.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that Fekir has told his current employers that he still wants to move to Liverpool FC despite a deal falling through earlier this summer.
The same article states that Liverpool FC pulled out of a deal due to medical concerns despite the Reds reaching a £53m agreement with the Ligue 1 side for the playmaker.
According to the same story, Fekir has met with Lyon president Jean Michael Aulas on a number of occasions during France’s World Cup campaign to discuss his future.
The Daily Mirror go on to claim that Liverpool FC would want to renegotiate a different deal if the Merseyside outfit were to consider making a fresh move to sign the 24-year-old this summer.
However, the report suggests that the Reds would be willing to complete a deal if Lyon are prepared to restructure a potential package which wouldn’t even necessarily demand a reduction in price.
Liverpool FC have signed Brazil international Fabinho and Guinea midfielder Naby Keita in the summer transfer window so far.
