Liverpool FC started their summer spending with the £40m addition of Brazil international Fabinho from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco.
The Reds finally added Guinea international Naby Keita to their squad after agreeing a £48m deal with Bundesliga side RB Leipzig last term.
Liverpool FC won the race to sign Swiss star Xherdan Shaqiri in a cut price deal from Stoke City to improve their attacking options.
Jurgen Klopp went on to spend a world record fee on a goalkeeper after Alisson Becker moved to Liverpool FC from AS Roma in a £67m deal.
However, Virgil van Dijk, who cost £75m back in January, is thought to be keen for Klopp to sign a new centre-half partner for his record signing.
Daily Record reporter McGarry claimed that Liverpool FC could make something of a left-field signing to improve their back four this summer.
“There is not many suitable candidates out there,” McGarry told the Transfer Window podcast.
“Look out for a left field centre-half signing who Klopp hopes can progress and become Van Dijk’s centre-half partner.”
Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season to ensure their continued participation in the Champions League.
