Liverpool FC are considering a move to sign Colombia’s Yerry Mina from FC Barcelona this summer, according to a report.
Fotomac, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is reporting that Liverpool FC are weighing up a move to sign Mina this summer.
The same article states that the Merseyside outfit have been impressed with Mina’s performances at the World Cup.
According to the same story, Liverpool FC will have to battle it out with Turkish side Fenerbache in the summer transfer window.
Mina scored three times in three games to leave his mark on the World Cup in Russia, including a last-minute equaliser to force extra time in Colombia’s penalty shootout loss to England.
The 23-year-old moved to FC Barcelona from Palmeiras in January 2018 to become the first-ever Colombia player to represent the Catalan side.
The Colombian centre half has scored six times in 15 games for his national team since the South American made his debut in 2016.
The Reds have already signed Brazil international Fabinho in a £39m deal from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco in June to bolster Jurgen Klopp’s midfield options following Emre Can’s switch to Juventus.
Liverpool FC have also recruited Guinea international Naby Keita in a £48m deal from Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig.
