Andreas Pereira has told Jose Mourinho that he would be happy to play in any position for him at Manchester United.

The 22-year-old has just returned to Manchester United after two loan spells at Granada and Valencia in La Liga, where he was afforded some valuable first-team playing time.

Pereira will now be hoping to force himself into the first team at Manchester United in the coming weeks and months as he bids to impress Mourinho ahead of the new campaign.

The Brazilian has made it clear to Mourinho that he is happy to play in any position for the Red Devils, and that he has settled into the number six role for now.

Speaking to Manchester United’s website, Pereira said: “The manager asked me what position I will play and I said I will play any position he would like.

“Now I am in this position as a number six. I will try to do my best and of course everyone is helping me a lot, including the manager, by telling me what to do.”

Manchester United will be looking to at least challenge for the Premier League title next season as they look to end their wait for the title.

The Red Devils have not lifted the Premier League trophy since Sir Alex Ferguson’s final campaign in charge at the club back in 2013.

Manchester United finished in second place in the Premier League table and without a trophy last term in what was Mourinho’s second campaign in charge at the club.
