Manchester United could land Gareth Bale as part of a Romelu Lukaku swap deal with Real Madrid, say reports

Manchester United could be able to land Gareth Bale this summer in a swap deal involving Romelu Lukaku, according to reports in the Spanish media.

Spanish outlet Don Balon, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that the Red Devils still do have a chance of signing Wales superstar Bale this summer.

According to the same story, Real Madrid are planning a major overhaul of their squad this summer as they prepare for life under their new manager Julen Lopetegui.

The same report says that Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are among the front-runners to sign Bale this summer as his future at Real Madrid continues to be a source of speculation.

It is now being claimed in the same story that Real Madrid hold a strong interest in signing Romelu Lukaku this summer, and that the Spanish side could be set to use Manchester United’s interest in Bale as a way to land the Belgian forward ahead of next season.

The report also claims that Real Madrid are looking to sign a number of quality attackers this summer, including Eden Hazard and Kylian Mbappe.

Manchester United will be looking to win the Premier League title for the first time since 2013 next season.
