Manchester United are pondering whether to sell Daley Blind to Ajax this summer, according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.

The 28-year-old defender’s future has been a source of speculation this summer after he struggled to hold down a regular spot in the first team at Old Trafford last season.

Blind has been linked with a move back to Ajax this summer as the Dutch side look to bolster their rearguard options ahead of next season.

Now, Sky Sports reporter Sheth has confirmed that a return to the Dutch side could be on the cards for Blind, and that Manchester United could be willing to sell him this summer.

Speaking on the Transfer Talk podcast, Sheth said: “The Ajax manager is interested in bringing Blind back to the club.

“He is in the final year of his five-year contract. Man United have a decision to make. Man United might want to cash in now.”

Meanwhile, Manchester United have made three new signings this summer after having tied up deals for Diogo Dalot, Fred and Lee Grant.

Jose Mourinho will be keen to further bolster his squad this summer as he looks to assemble a team capable of challenging for the top titles next season.

The Red Devils finished in second place in the Premier League table and without a trophy last season in Mourinho’s second campaign in charge of the Old Trafford outfit.
