Top 25-year-old keen on signing for Man United – report
Harry Maguire is open to a move to Man United but won't force a transfer, say reports
Harry Maguire is keen on a transfer to Manchester United from Leicester City this summer but won’t force a move, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror says that the Red Devils are lining up a transfer bid to try and bring the 25-year-old defender to Old Trafford this summer as they bid to try and strengthen their options at the back ahead of next season.
The same story says that Maguire and his girlfriend are currently enjoying the end of their summer holiday in Barbados before the defender reports back to the King Power Stadium for duty ahead of the new campaign.
The article claims that Manchester United have made contact with Leicester about sealing a £65m deal for the defender to sound out the possibility of a move.
Maguire earned plenty of praise for his strong performances for England at the World Cup in Russia as he helped the Three Lions reach the semi-finals.
Meanwhile, Manchester United will be aiming to at least challenge for the Premier League title next season as they bid to try and win the trophy for the first time since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement back in 2013.
