Man United to sell two players to fund £65m move for 25-year-old – report
Manchester United could sell both Marcos Rojo and Matteo Darmian before signing Harry Maguire, claim reports
Manchester United are prepared to sell both Matteo Darmian and Marcos Rojo this summer to fund a move to sign Harry Maguire from Leicester City, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Red Devils are ready to let both of the defenders leave Old Trafford this summer as Manchester United look to try and bring the England international to the club.
The Red Devils are thought to be on the lookout for defensive reinforcements this summer as Jose Mourinho looks to assemble a squad capable of winning the title next season.
Manchester United have been credited with an interest in signing Maguire this summer as they look to try and strengthen their defence ahead of Mourinho’s third campaign in charge.
The same story says that Manchester United have now deemed both Rojo and Darmian to be surplus to requirements as they look to line up a move for Maguire.
The article claims that Mourinho must get rid of both players if he wants to be able to bring 25-year-old England international Maguire to Manchester United from Leicester.
It is also claimed that Maguire is likely to cost in the region of £65m.
