The Guardian is reporting that the Red Devils are open to the possibility of letting the 22-year-old striker leave Old Trafford this summer after his lack of playing time under Mourinho last season.
According to the same story, Mourinho was not keen on letting Martial leave Old Trafford this summer but he has since changed his stance.
The same article says that should the France international end up being sold this summer, then Mourinho’s first choice destination for the striker would be to sell to a foreign club.
Martial’s future has been a source of speculation this summer after the striker’s agent hinted at the start of the transfer window that his client was keen on a move away from Manchester United.
The striker has a year left on his current contract with Manchester United and the Red Devils have the option of extending his deal by a further 12 months if they want to.
Manchester United will be looking to at least challenge for the Premier League title next season after the Red Devils finished in second place in the table and without a trophy last term.
