Luke Shaw is trying to impress Man United boss Jose Mourinho, say reports
Luke Shaw has returned to pre-season training with Manchester United a week early as he bids to try and revive his Red Devils career, according to reports in the British media.
The Manchester Evening News, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is reporting that the 22-year-old left-back has jetted out to Dubai for a training camp this week as he bids to try and impress Jose Mourinho ahead of next season.
The same report says that Manchester United’s first team are not due to report to Carrington to begin pre-season training until next week.
Shaw has been joined by Manchester United’s head of strength and conditioning Gary Walker as he bids to raise his fitness levels ahead of next term.
The 22-year-old’s future at Old Trafford has been a constant source of uncertainty due to his lack of playing time under Mourinho.
According to the same report, Shaw’s decision to begin his pre-season preparations early is a bid to try and change Mourinho’s mind about him.
Meanwhile, Manchester United have made two signings so far this summer, after having wrapped up deals for both Fred and Diogo Dalot.
The Red Devils are thought to be on the lookout for a number of other new signings this summer as they look to try and build a squad capable of winning the title next season.
