Manchester United and Tottenham are likely to be keen on moves to sign Kieran Tierney from Celtic this summer, according to transfer insider Ian McGarry.

The 21-year-old’s future at the Scottish club has been something of a source of speculation this summer as Manchester United ponder bolstering their options at left-back.

Luke Shaw’s long-term future at Old Trafford has been a source of speculation in recent months due to his failure to earn a regular starting spot in the Manchester United squad under Jose Mourinho.

Both Tottenham and Manchester United have been credited with a potential interest in signing Scotland international Tierney this summer.

Now, football consultant McGarry has suggested that both Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur both do hold an interest in signing Tierney this summer.

Speaking on the Transfer Window podcast, McGarry said: “We know Tottenham and Man United have expressed interest [in signing Tierney] in the past…”

Meanwhile, Manchester United completed their third signing of the summer last week when they tied up a deal to bring veteran goalkeeper Lee Grant to Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have also signed Brazilian midfielder Fred and Portuguese full-back Diogo Dalot this summer as Jose Mourinho looks to assemble a team capable of winning the title next season.
