The Dutch defender has been linked with a return to the Netherlands outfit in recent weeks after his failure to hold down a regular starting spot in the first team at Manchester United last season.
The 28-year-old is heading into the final year of his contract at Old Trafford after having signed for Ajax from Manchester United back in 2014.
Blind found his first team appearances at Manchester United to be severely restricted last season and made just seven run-outs for the Red Devils in all competitions.
Now, Ajax are believed to be ready to offer Blind a fresh start in Amsterdam, and the manager has confirmed the Dutch club’s interest in signing him.
[He is] a player with a lot of experience, in the Premier League and in the Dutch national team,” Ten Hag said of Blind, as quoted by Sky Sports.
“He is a stable personality. Just like the arrival of Dusan Tadic, this also counts as a considerable effort of the club. We are doing everything, but it also depends on other parties.”
Meanwhile, Manchester United are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as the Red Devils look to bring in more reinforcements ahead of next season.
The Red Devils will be looking to at least challenge for the Premier League title after they finished second and without a trophy last term.
