Manchester United intend to hold clear the air talks with Anthony Martial about his future at Old Trafford, according to reports in the British media.

Metro is reporting that the Red Devils are getting ready to hold discussions with the striker after he indicated that he wanted to leave Old Trafford this summer.

The 22-year-old returned to pre-season training at Carrington this week and the Red Devils are keen to resolve his future, according to the same story.

According to the article, Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is prepared to offer Martial one last chance to salvage his Red Devils career after having failed to impress the Portuguese coach until now.

Martial has struggled to hold down a regular spot in the first team at Old Trafford since Mourinho’s appointment at Old Trafford and he has been linked with a move away from the club.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are still thought to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they look to assemble a squad capable of winning the title next season.

The Red Devils finished in second place in the top flight last season and without a trophy in Mourinho’s second campaign in charge.
