Manchester United look set to face frustration in their bid to sign Sevilla star Clement Lenglet this summer, according to reports in France.
French outlet Foot Mercato, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that the Red Devils are likely to miss out on the signing of the 23-year-old defender.
According to the same report Lenglet is going to either decide to stay at Sevilla or move to Spanish giants FC Barcelona this summer, with a move to Manchester United seemingly looking unlikely.
The defender has been touted as a possible target for the Red Devils as Jose Mourinho looks to try and strengthen his squad ahead of next season.
Meanwhile, Manchester United confirmed that they had agreed a contract extension with Marouane Fellaini on Friday to keep the midfielder at the club until the summer of 2020, with the option for a further year.
The Red Devils are still believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as Mourinho looks to assemble a squad capable of winning the Premier League title next season.
Manchester United ended up in second place in the Premier League table and without a trophy last term.
