Manchester United are facing a battle with Juventus to sign impressive Molde striker Erling Haaland, according to a report in Italy.
Italian newspaper Il Tempo, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is reporting that the Serie A champions are prepared to rival Manchester United for the teenager’s signature.
The same article states that Manchester United sent scouts to watch Haaland over the weekend and the Molde striker made quite the impression on the Red Devils chiefs.
According to the same story, the Italian giants are determined to sign the teenage striker and Juventus are prepared to offer an initial €5m package to see off competition from Manchester United.
The Red Devils will have to make a decision on Haaland or risk losing the Norwegian striker to Juve, who confirmed the signing of Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo on Tuesday.
Erling is the son of former Manchester City and Leeds United midfielder Alfie Inge Haaland, who won 34 caps for the Norway national team.
